In celebration of Jurassic Park (and its sequels) being released in blu-ray this past week, here’s one of the two greatest themes ever written for a movie (the other being the great Akira Ifukube’s score for Gojira). God bless John Williams.
Jurassic Park is a landmark in my life—as it is for many of our generation. I spend way too much time (read: exactly the right amount of time) squeezing JP quotes into conversations, often regardless of if it makes sense, and I’ve only ever met two people in my life who had never seen the movie (two co-workers at separate jobs and, needless to say, I stopped talking to them). I have never met someone who didn’t like the movie, and hope I never do.
Also, check out Michael Crichton’s book: it is just as unbelievable, albeit in a different way.
